The MAX485ECSA+T with RS-422/RS-485 Interface IC is an integrated circuit designed to provide a high speed serial communication solution for industrial, automotive, and other applications that require high reliability across long distances and harsh environments. The device features +/-15kV ESD protection, slew-rate limited operation, low-power, and plays an integral part in enabling full-duplex communication with RS-485/RS-422 transceivers. The device is designed by Analog Devices, a semiconductor manufacturer that produces application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) for a wide range of signals processing and energy efficient solutions. It is available in an 8-lead wide temperature small outline IC (SOIC) and provides protection against short-circuit and EMI noise. Typical applications include industrial and commercial control networks, long-distance fieldbus systems, point-to-point data transfer, and more.
