MAX5363/MAX5364/MAX5365 19-1719 Rev 0 4/00 Low-Cost, Low-Power, 6-Bit DACs with 3-Wire Serial Interface in SOT23 General Description Features The MAX5363/MAX5364/MAX5365 low-cost, 6-bit digital- 6-Bit Resolution in a Miniature 6-Pin SOT23 to-analog converters (DACs) in miniature 6-pin SOT23 Package packages have a simple 3-wire, SPI/QSPI/ Wide +2.7V to +5.5V Supply Range (MAX5365) MICROWIRE-compatible serial interface that operates up to 10MHz. The MAX5363 has an internal +2V refer- <1A Shutdown Mode ence and operates from a +2.7V to +3.6V supply. The Software-Selectable Output Resistance During MAX5364 has an internal +4V reference and operates from a +4.5V to +5.5V supply. The MAX5365 operates Shutdown over the full +2.7 to +5.5V supply range and has an Buffered Output Drives Resistive Loads internal reference equal to 0.9 V . DD Low-Glitch Power-On Reset to Zero DAC Output The MAX5363/MAX5364/MAX5365 require an extremely low supply current of only 150A (typ) and provide a 3-Wire SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE-Compatible Interface buffered voltage output. These devices power up at <5% Full-Scale Error (MAX5365) zero code and remain there until a new code is written to the DAC registers. This provides additional safety for <1LSB max INL/DNL applications that drive valves or other transducers that Low 230A max Supply Current need to be off on power-up.
