MAX6072 High-Precision, Dual-Output Series Voltage Reference General Description Benefits and Features The MAX6072 is a dual-output precision series voltage Low Temperature Coefficient Ensures Stable System reference. The product features two outputs, +V Over Wide Temperature Ranges REF and +V /2. The device exhibits a very low 1/f noise of REF A-grade: 6ppm/C (max) 2ppm (peak-to-peak). Each output can source and sink B-grade: 8ppm/C (max) 10mA and has an independent sense line. This product Excellent Long-Term Drift Ensures Accurate Signal has a temperature drift of 6ppm/C (max) over the ambi- Chain Readings Over Time ent temperature range of -40C to +125C and an initial 15ppm Drift Over 1,000 Hours accuracy of 0.04%. Three pairs of output voltages are Dual References (V and V /2) Provide ADC/ available: 5V/2.5V, 4.096V/2.048V, and 2.5V/1.25V. The REF REF DAC Reference and Common-Mode Reference product operates with an input voltage range of 2.8V to 5.5V and has sufficient headroom for the highest voltage. MAX6072 50: V = 5V, V / = 2.5V REF REF 2 It consumes a mere 150A (typ) of quiescent supply cur- MAX6072 41: V = 4.096V, V / = 2.048V REF REF 2 rent per reference. The dual voltage outputs make this MAX6072 25: V = 2.5V, V / = 1.25V REF REF 2 device ideal for precision ADC applications where the Low Thermal Hysteresis Ensures Consistent Results input signal needs to be referred to V /2. REF Through Temperature Cycles The MAX6072 is available in a 10-pin MAX package 85ppm and is specified for operation over the extended -40 C to 2.5ppm Thermal Hysteresis Tracking +125 C industrial temperature range. Separate Enable-Control for Each Output Allows Applications Independent Control ADC/DAC References and Common-Mode Set-Point Low Power for Battery-/Loop-Powered Sensors: Test and Measurement/ATE 150A/Reference High-Accuracy Industrial and Process Control Portable Medical Typical Operating Circuit and Ordering Information appears at end of data sheet.
