MAX77831 2.5V to 16V Input, 7A Switching Current High-Efficiency Buck-Boost Converter General Description Benefits and Features The MAX77831 is a high-efficiency, high-performance Wide Input Voltage Range: 2.5V to 16V buck-boost converter targeted for systems requiring wide Default Output Voltage input voltage range (2.5V to 16V). It features a 7A switch- 5V with Internal Feedback Resistors ing current and can supply up to 6A output current in buck 3V to 15V with External Feedback Resistors mode and up to 4A in boost mode (boost ratio 1.3). Default 1.8MHz Switching Frequency 2 The IC is available in 5V default output voltage when using 1.5MHz and 1.2MHz Selectable through the I C internal feedback resistors. The IC can also be config- Interface ured to any default output voltages between 3V and 15V Forced-PWM (FPWM) Mode Operation Only when using external feedback resistors. The output volt- 2 I C-Programmable Output Voltage After Startup 2 age is adjustable dynamically through the I C serial inter- 4.5V to 15V (Internal Feedback Resistors) face (see the Output Voltage Configuration section).
