EVALUATION KIT AVAILABLE Low-Noise 500mA LDO Regulators MAX8902A/MAX8902B in a 2mm x 2mm TDFN Package General Description Features The MAX8902A/MAX8902B low-noise linear regulators 1.7V to 5.5V Input Voltage Range deliver up to 500mA of output current with only 0.6V to 5.3V Output Voltage Range 16V of output noise in a 100kHz bandwidth. These RMS 16V Output Noise, 10Hz to 100kHz RMS regulators maintain their output voltage over a wide 80A Operating Supply Current input range, requiring only 100mV of input-to-output headroom at full load. 92dB PSRR at 5kHz These LDOs maintain a low 80A typical supply cur- Guaranteed 500mA Output Current rent, independent of the load current and dropout volt- 1.5% Output Accuracy Over Load, Line, and age. The regulator control circuitry includes a Temperature programmable soft-start circuit and short circuit, 100mV (max) Dropout at 500mA Load reverse current, and thermal-overload protection.
