MAXQ617 Infrared Remote Control System-on-Chip General Description Features The MAXQ617 is a low-power, 16-bit MAXQ microcon- S High-Performance, Low-Power, 16-Bit RISC Core troller designed for low-power applications including S Internal 12MHz Oscillator Requires no External universal remote controls, consumer electronics, and Components white goods. The device combines a powerful 16-bit S 1.67V to 3.6V Operating Voltage RISC microcontroller and integrated peripherals includ- ing a universal synchronous/asynchronous receiver- S 33 Total Instructions for Simplified Programming 2 transmitter (USART), an SPI master/slave and two I C S Three Independent Data Pointers Accelerate Data communications ports, along with an IR module with car- Movement with Automatic Increment/Decrement rier frequency generation and flexible port I/O capable S Dedicated Pointer for Direct Read from Code Space of multiplexed keypad control. An internal amplifier S 16-Bit Instruction Word, 16-Bit Data Bus eliminates the need for external circuitry to drive the IR receiver pin.
