The Arduino MKR THERM Shield with Expansion board is a kit designed to enhance your Arduino MKR Board with temperature sensing capabilities. It is equipped with an expansion board, a temperature sensor, 1-wire, SPI, and a MAX31855K (3.3V) chip. The expansion board enables easy connection of the board to external environmental temperature sensors, asynchronous momentary push buttons, 3D thermistors, and other equipment needed. Additionally, the 1-wire protocol and built-in MAX31855K chip make it compatible with different types of thermocouples, such as type E, J, K, N, R, S, and T. Additionally, the board supports reading temperature data from multiple sensors over I2C. Lastly, the board is also compatible with SPI, allowing it to interface with other ICs and applications. This makes it ideal for a variety of temperature-sensing applications.
