Connections can be made easily and quickly without special tools. Install them once--then you can replace components with a simple unplug/re- plug, rather than tediously unfastening and refastening numerous wires individually to terminal blocks. Their compact size and DIN rail mountability is perfect for that wiring area with limited space. Each pin on the DB connector has a corresponding terminal block that is marked. In addition an extra terminal block is provided that connects to the shield of the DB connector (used for grounding purposes). The DB connectors accept the industrial standard 4-40 locking screws.
