The Barber-Colman A2-2505-3 is an electric motor starter used to switch a load between multiple sources in industrial equipment. It is a two-stage, solenoid operated starter with a mechanical actuator. The A2-2505-3 starter operates on 220/440VAC or 575/600VAC, 60Hz/single or 50Hz/single power, and includes a two-position selector switch to “start” and “stop” operations. The starter also includes an emergency stop, a current-carrying capacitor, and a ground fault circuit interrupter. The A2-2505-3 is an economical starter that is suitable for a wide range of applications in industrial settings, such as pumps and compressors.
