CPG-170 is a graphical system developed by Bernstein et al. (1998) to support collaborative planning and design. It is based on the idea of a project-centered group, in which a group of people (e.g., architects) collaborate on a large-scale project. The system provides a shared workspace for viewing and manipulating objects and data, as well as an integrated set of tools to aid in planning, design, and decision-making. It also provides support for a structured planning and design process, including activities such as brainstorming, user feedback, negotiating, and evaluating.
