B25/BN158 Bossard

's expedition Bossard's B25/BN158 Expedition was an archaeological expedition led by Australian archaeologist Alfred Bossard in 1938. The mission explored areas of the Great Sandy Desert in remote central Australia. The purpose of the expedition was to locate archaeological sites and to document Aboriginal sites. The expedition documented more than 100 Aboriginal sites, and collected artifacts and specimens. Bossard collected information on food resources and Aboriginal social customs and traditions. The team also collected specimens of flora and fauna, and conducted geological surveys. The expedition led to some of the earliest research into the social, environmental, and cultural history of Australia's indigenous people.
