Additional Infomation About Product

The BTC401N with Discharge Tubes (GDT/TSS) 1812 RoHS is a RoHS compliant electronic component manufactured by Bourne. It is a 4-pin, negative-ground, bi-polar surge suppressor tunneling diode specifically designed to protect high voltage ac/dc inverters from transients. It is ideal for use in power distribution and lighting ballasts, as well as in voltage controlled or static switch controllers. The BTC401N includes an integrated GDT/TSS discharge tube which provides protection from high-voltage transients, as well as surge and spike protection. The device is rated to withstand currents up to 2A and can tolerate impulse response times of up to 500 microseconds. It also features an LED indicator to show the presence of a transient surge.
