Additional Infomation About Product

MF-SM125-2 with Resettable Fuses - PPTC 15Volts 100Amps Hold 1.25A Trip 2.5A is a protection components manufactured by Bourns. It is a Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient (PPTC) device which belongs to the family of resettable fuses. This device provides a single-point protection for electronic circuits from shorts and overloads. It can be used in a variety of applications such as power systems; consumer, portable and automotive devices; telecom; networking; medical equipment etc. At normal operating conditions, the device has a low resistance and does not swithch-off the electric current running through it. At the event of an overload, caused by a short-circuit, the resistance of the PPTC rises rapidly and the current through it is cut off. The protection level is set by Hold (inrush current) and Trip (current trip point) values. In this particular device, the Hold and Trip values are 1.25A and 2.5A respectively, and the maximum voltage rating is 15Volts at 100A.
