P-56 is a type of high-speed, programmable, dual-slot processor manufactured by Caltronics. It is designed to be used in embedded systems, such as industrial automation, robotics, and military applications. The processor has a main bus and two double-data rate (DDR2) buses to provide efficient access to system memory and peripheral devices. P-56 has a 32-bit RISC pipeline and runs at speeds up to 200 MHz. It also includes 512K of embedded system memory and up to 4MB of external data memory. Additionally, it has an extensive instruction set and extensive on-chip peripherals including an LCD controller, Ethernet controller, CAN bus controller, GPIO ports, I2C controller, PWM controller and more. The processor also supports multiple operating systems including Linux, VxWorks, and ThreadX.
