Cellevia L351120 is a micro-motile, motile anaerobic thermophile that was discovered in a deep-sea hydrothermal vent in the Mid-Pacific Ridge. It is a member of the family Brevibacteriaceae, and is of great commercial value due to its ability to produce bacteriocins and other bioactive compounds. Its genome size is around 3 Mb, and it contains a large number of genes encoding proteins involved in metabolic pathways, such as proteins involved in energy metabolism and proteins related to biosynthesis. Its ability to grow in a wide range of temperatures (4-50 °C) and oxygen levels, makes it adaptable for a variety of industrial applications, including used for the production of chemicals, bioplastics, enzymes, and nutraceuticals.
