The LP3520 is a Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) Single-in-Line (SIP) package manufactured by Chip Hope. It is a RoHS-compliant (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) device that is optimized for very low quiescent current and very fast response times, making it an ideal choice for space-constrained portable applications such as mobile phones, notebook/netbook PCs, DSCs, DVCs, and GPS. It can deliver up to 5A of output current at 2.5V and up to 8A at 1.2V. It also provides a variety of features including programmable output voltage, fast enable and disable, output slew rate control, hiccup mode fault protection, programmable switch frequency, and programmable enable and disable timing. It also includes integrated POR (Power-On Reset) and low battery detection for better system power on and off sequence control.
