CS4396 24-Bit, 192 kHz D/A Converter for Digital Audio Features Description The CS4396 is a complete high performance 24-bit l24 Bit Conversion 48/96/192 kHz stereo digital-to-analog conversion sys- lUp to 192 kHz Sample Rates tem. The device includes a digital interpolation filter l120 dB Dynamic Range followed by a oversampled multi-bit delta-sigma modula- l-100 dB THD+N tor which drives dynamic-element-matching (DEM) selection logic. The output from the DEM block controls lAdvanced Dynamic-Element Matching the input to a multi-element switched capacitor DAC/low- lLow Clock Jitter Sensitivity pass filter, with fully-differential outputs. This multi-bit ar- l Digital De-emphasis for 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz and chitecture features significantly lower out-of-band noise 48 kHz and jitter sensitivity than traditional 1-bit designs, and the advanced DEM guarantees low noise and distortion at lExternal Reference Input all signal levels.
