's history
Comair Rotron was established in 1939 in Canada by Arnold Denmen and Frank Moore, who developed a fan motor for the mining, oil, and manufacturing markets. The company went public in 1949, and by the late 1950s, it had more than 500 employees. In 1961, Comair Rotron opened its first US offices in Chicago, and it continued to expand its operations into Europe and then Asia. It acquired a number of other companies over the years, such as Elektron, in 1982, and Delta Blowers and Quincy Rotron, in 1988. In 1991, Comair Rotron was acquired by the Emerson Electric Company. The Comair Rotron name was retired in 2009, and the products are now sold through Emerson's Network Power Solutions businesses.
