Comair Rotron was an American manufacturer of electric motors, fans, and ventilation equipment, founded in 1903 by Robert L. Comair and his brother, Elmer S. Comair. The company designed and built products ranging from general ventilation to specialized industrial and space applications. Noted for their high quality, their products were used in a variety of applications ranging from medical and laboratory projects to aircraft, industrial and commercial applications. In the mid-1920s, they began making fans that could be used in industry, ranging from small motors to larger models capable of creating high-pressure air streams. Their products were also found in a variety of government and military projects, including the cooling of Atlas missile engines during test firings. The company was acquired by Rotron, Inc. in 1984 and subsequently relocated to Carrollton, Texas.
