The CP-Z-80/J is a microcontroller chip that is part of the Combiplast family of integrated circuit components. This chip is designed to be used in embedded systems, such as those providing industrial control or automation. It is based on a 8-bit Z80 CPU, and is able to address a maximum of 64K memory, both ROM and RAM, which is accessible through two internal buses. The chip also includes a range of on board peripherals, such as basic timers, multiple serial channels, an on-chip 32 bits arithmetic logic unit, and a programmable interrupt controller. It is possible for two CP-Z-80/J devices to be connected together via an internal bus, providing a means for distributed system designs.
