It is designed to keep high voltage and low voltage circuits electrically isolated while allowing them to communicate through light. The KPC6N136S is a surface mount device (SMD) with an 8-pin package and is compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) standard. It has an isolation voltage of 5000Vrms (V oltage r esistance m eter s cale ) and is designed for operation over a wide temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).
