PR2B2019 is the annual fall semester project for the class of Programming 2 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The project focuses on the development of an interactive educational video game for children in Madison, WI. Students will use the Cotoie game engine as the platform for the development of their game. The game will focus on teaching students about the importance of conservation, the environment, and other areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Students will work in teams to develop their game, with guidance from faculty. The project will require students to gain skills in game design, development and programming; develop original art assets; and test and evaluate their game through playtests and iteration. At the end of the project, students will produce a final playable game, which will be presented to Madison families at an end-of-project event.
