Anderson\'s Theory
The EPQ-11 is part of Curtis Anderson's theory of HIV prevention. It is an 11-point scale that measures an individual's beliefs and behaviors related to HIV. The points on the scale assess an individual's risk perception, intentions to engage in high-risk behavior, perceived benefits and barriers of HIV prevention, self-efficacy in HIV prevention, HIV knowledge, HIV stigma, and HIV testing. It is intended to help to identify key factors that influence HIV risk, provide insight into the individual's current HIV risk profile, and inform HIV prevention strategies.
