DRI0017 is a part of DF Robot’s TurtleBot3 series, and is a small open-source educational robot platform that covers almost all aspects of education demands. It is a wheeled mobile platform equipped with actuators, sensors, and communication network. With TurtleBot3, users can create their own robots with a wide range of on board sensors, configurations and actuators. The main components of DRI0017 are an Intel NUC, an Arduino Mega2560, an OpenCR board, and an SD card. The TurtleBot3’s sensors enable users to use robotic components such as IMU, accelerometer, gyroscope and encoders, which are all integrated into the chassis. The built-in camera module included with TurtleBot3 is designed to capture images in order to autonomously detect obstacles. Additionally, it has a LiDAR, which is used for autonomous navigation applications. It also supports ROS, a set of libraries for programming robotics applications. With these built-in capabilities, the TurtleBot3 can be used to develop and experiment with various robotics applications.
