AH9251 MEDIUM SENSITIVITY MICROPOWER OMNIPOLAR HALL-EFFECT SWITCH Description Pin Assignments The AH9251 is a medium sensitivity Hall-effect switch with internal pull-up resistor on the output, designed for battery operated handheld (Front View) equipments to industrial applications. A chopper stabilized architecture improves stability of magnetic switch 3 OUTPUT points over the whole operating range. A sleep-awake logic controls the sleep and awake time to reduce the average operating current of 2 GND the device. During the awake time, the output is changed with the magnetic flux density. During the sleep time, the output is latched in 1 V DD its previous state and the current consumption reduces to 4A typical at 3V. The average current consumption is 8A at 3V. TO92S The output can be switched on with either north or south pole of sufficient strength. If the magnetic flux density perpendicular to the part marking surface is larger than operating point (B ), the output OP (Top View) will be turned on if it is less than releasing point (B ), the output will RP be turned off. GND The AH9251 is available in industry standard TO92S and SC59 3 packages.
