AP1501 150KHz, 3A PWM BUCK DC/DC CONVERTER General Description Features The AP1501 is a fully integrated step-down DC/DC converter, Output voltage: 3.3V, 5V, 12V and adjustable output with the ability to drive 3A load without the need of additional version driver components. The AP1501 operates at a switching Adjustable version output voltage range, 1.23V to frequency of 150KHZ enabling the use of small size filter 37V+4% components. As a result, board space is reduced and BOM costs 150KHZ +15% fixed switching frequency are lowered. Voltage mode non-synchronous PWM control Thermal-shutdown and current-limit protection The AP1501 has integrated the shutdown function that allows ON/OFF shutdown control input standby mode to be activated via an external logic signal input. Operating voltage can be up to 40V The internal compensation facilitates feedback control for line Output load current: 3A and load regulation without the need of an external circuitry. The Low power standby mode AP1501 has a built-in Thermal shutdown and Current Limit Built-in switching transistor on chip function to prevent damage from high operating temperature and Lead Free packages: TO263-5L and TO220-5L(R) high current operating to the output switch. TO263-5L and TO220-5L(R): Available in Green Molding Compound (No Br, Sb) Additional features include a guaranteed +/- 4% tolerance on the Lead Free Finish/RoHS Compliant (Note 1) output voltage under specified input and output load conditions, and +/- 15% on oscillator frequency. The AP1501 offers both fixed and a Adjustable output voltages. For fixed outputs the AP1501 supports 3.3V, 5.0V and 12V. The package options available are standard 5-lead TO263 and TO220(R) packages.
