The device provides programmable equalization, amplification, and de-emphasis by using 8 select Up to 5.0Gbps PCI Express 2.0 Serial ReDriver bits, to optimize performance over a variety of physical mediums by reducing Inter-symbol interference. Supporting 8 differential channels or 4 lanes of PCIe Interface PI2EQX5984 supports eight 100-Ohm Differential CML data I/Os between the Protocol ASIC to a switch fabric, across a 2 I C configuration controls (3.3V tolerant) backplane, or extends the signals across other distant data Adjustable receiver equalization and transmitter pathways on the users platform. de-emphasis and output levels The integrated equalization circuitry provides flexibility with signal integrity of the PCI Express signal before the ReDriver, Variable input an output termination whereas the integrated de-emphasis circuitry provides flexibility 1:2 channel broadcast with signal integrity of the signal after the redriver.
