PI4IOE5V9555 16-bit I2C-bus and SMBus I/O port with interrupt Features Description 2 Operation power supply voltage from 2.3V to 5.5V The PI4IOE5V9555 is an I C-bus I/O expander that provides 16 bits of General Purpose parallel 16-bit I/O pins which can be programmed as Input or 2 Input/Output (GPIO) expansion for I C-bus/SMBus Output applications. It includes the features such as higher 5V tolerant I/Os driving capability, 5V tolerance, lower power supply, Polarity inversion register individual I/O configuration, and smaller packaging. It Active LOW interrupt output provides a simple solution when additional I/O is needed for ACPI power switches, sensors, push buttons, LEDs, Low current consumption fans, etc. 0Hz to 400KHz clock frequency The PI4IOE5V9555 consists of two 8-bit Noise filter on SCL/SDA inputs configuration registers to configure the I/Os as either Power-on reset inputs or outputs, and two 8-bit polarity registers to change the polarity of the input port register data. The ESD protection (4KV HBM and 1KV CDM) data for each input or output is kept in the corresponding Latch-up tested (exceeds 100mA) Input port or Output port register. All registers can be Offered in two different packages: TSSOP-24 and read by the system master. TQFN 4x4-24 The PI4IOE5V9555 open-drain interrupt output is activated and indicate to the system when any input state has changed. The power-on reset sets the registers to their default values and initializes the device state machine. 2 Three input pins (A0, A1, A2) can select I C-bus address of PI4IOE5V9555 from the eight preset address. It allows up to eight PI4IOE5V9555 to share the same 2 I C-bus/SMBus and provide maximum 128 I/Os.
