Rev 1.4 DIO5141 1A Buck/Boost Charge Pump LED Driver Features Descriptions Output Current up to 1A The DIO5141 is a current-regulated charge pump Up to 90% Efficiency in Torch Mode ideal for powering high brightness LEDs for Adjustable FLASH Mode Current camera flash applications. The charge pump can 1 and 2 Automatic Modes for High Efficiency be set to regulate two current levels for FLASH Input Voltage Range: 2.7V to 5.5V and TORCH modes. Minimum External Components: No Inductors High Frequency Operation: 2MHz The DIO5141 automatically switches modes Low 47mV Reference for Low Loss Sensing between step-up and step-down ensuring that IQ < 1A in Shutdown LED current does not depend on the forward Built-In Soft Start Limits Inrush Current voltage. It switches at 2MHz, allowing the use of Low Input and Output Ripple and Low EMI tiny components. The supply voltage ranges Output Over Voltage Protection from 2.7V to 5.5V and is ideally suited for all Over-current and Over-temperature Protection applications powered by a single LI-Ion battery Available in Green DFN33-10L Package cell or three to four NiCd, NiMH, or Alkaline battery cells. Applications The DIO5141 also features a very low shutdown Cellular Telephones current, an automatic soft-start mode to limit Digital Still Cameras inrush current, as well as over current, over Mobile Internet Devices voltage and over thermal shutdown control.
