GPM4 is the fourth edition of the Global Performance Management (GPM) reference model designed to help organizations assess, design, implement and improve their strategy, performance objectives, measures and management systems. It was developed by the World Bank’s Global Performance Measurement Advisory Service in partnership with the ISO 20252 standard and comprises 16 global standards related to the assessment, design and implementation of organizational performance management. The GPM4 covers the full lifecycle of performance management, from strategy formulation and plan implementation to monitoring, evaluation and control. It also covers key areas such as responsible management, corporate governance, human capital practices, stakeholder engagement and sustainability. The GPM4 was initially developed for the European Donau region but has since been updated for use globally.
