The M134 is an automatic six-barreled rotary machine gun. Developed during the Vietnam War, the M134 was produced by General Electric, and is also known as the “Minigun”. The M134 is designed to fire high-caliber rounds at a very high rate of fire, and is capable of firing up to 6,000 rounds per minute. Due to its high rate of fire and high accuracy, the M134 is primarily used for suppression and suppressive fire against enemy infantry and vehicles. The M134 is usually mounted on aircraft and helicopters, and is frequently used in unconventional warfare, close air support, and other special operations missions.
