Draper is a city located in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The population was 42,274 at the 2010 census, and 49,265 as of 2019. Draper is located approximately 20 miles from downtown Salt Lake City and 17 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport.
The city is home to a variety of activities, ranging from outdoor recreation to shopping centers and businesses located along main thoroughfares. The city is known for its foothills and abundance of recreational opportunities. Draper has many outdoor attractions including The Loop and Corner Canyon, a popular mountain biking/hiking trail, and Draper City Park, a large park that features a fishing pond and trails. There are also numerous golf courses, tennis courts and Pickleball courts within the city limits. Draper also has multiple shopping and restaurant venues, including Crossroads Plaza Shopping Center, The Shops at South Town, Thousand Peaks Shopping Center and Draper Peaks Shopping Center. Additional recreation amenities include the Draper Amphitheater, a performing arts venue and classrooms, and the community center, which houses a pool, gymnasium, and fitness center. Other highlights for residents include the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, an interactive and educational space, the Draper Historic Museum, which showcases the city’s past, the Draper Senior Center, and the Draper Poolhouse.
