EAO 31-906.5 is a regulation that establishes the standards for design, plan review, testing, certification, and operation of water amusement rides, in the state of Ohio. It is published by the Ohio Department of Agriculture and applies to all such rides that are located within the state. The purpose of the regulation is to promote the safety and well-being of the riders and operators of water amusement rides and other aquatic activities within the state of Ohio. The regulation establishes requirements for design, plan review, testing and operation of these water amusement rides and other related aquatic activities. This includes, but is not limited to, requirements for plan review and approval, installation, operation, and maintenance. The regulation also contains requirements governing the inspection and reporting of accidents and incidents, incident investigations, and recalls.
