EAO 41-963.1 is the Ontario Regulation that sets out the requirements for the storage, handling, and transport of fuels and fuel products in Ontario. The purpose of the regulation is to protect human health, the environment, and property by preventing the discharge, release or escape of fuel or fuel products into the environment. The regulation sets out requirements for the design, installation, maintenance and inspection of fuel storage systems, as well as the prevention and containment of spills, leaks and overfills. The regulation applies to both gasoline and diesel fuels.
