The TP-33 is a United States Marine Corps (USMC) helicopter engine manufactured by the American engine manufacturer Textron Lycoming. It is a light-weight, but powerful, four-cylinder, horizontally-opposed engine with a power output of 200 shaft horsepower at 3300 rpm. It is composed of a lightweight aluminum cylinder block, heads and crankcase, with forged alloy steel connecting rods and forged-steel crankshaft. It also contains dual electronic fuel-injection systems, impact-resistant air and oil filter systems, and a dual-speed filter-less governor. The TP-33 is also capable of running on a variety of fuels, including Kerosene, Jet-A, military grade JP-5, and automobile gasoline. It is a versatile engine design capable of many different aircraft uses and is typically found in helicopters and other light aircraft.
