The ESP32-WROVER-IB module with 8MB of FLASH manufactured by Espressif is a compact version of their dual-core ESP32-WROVER module, stored in a 36-pin, 4.5mm × 4.5mm BGA package with both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support. It integrates a regular single-core Tensilica Xtensa LX6 microprocessor, 8MB of flash, 520KB of RAM, Wi-Fi HT40 and Bluetooth/BLE 4.2 radio, TR switch, balun, LNA, PA, and matching network, all in a 8.6 x 8.6 mm form factor and covered under the RoHS standard. It also features an on-board antenna along with a 32.768kHz crystal oscillator for low-power clock calculation. It operates on a standard 3.3V voltage range and can handle a peak power consumption of up to 240 mA. With the support of Espressif's ESP-WROOM-32 module, the ESP32-WROVER-IB technology provides a range of features such as deep sleep mode current of less than 5 uA, wake up and transmit packets in milliseconds, an integrated 32-bit CPU and DSP processor, multiple UARTs and SPI/I²C, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth co-existence and embedded sensor system support, as well as built-in security features such as cryptographic hardware engines and secure boot.
