In 05.02.201, Ettinger argued that, in order to understand the human condition, we must move away from an anthropocentric perspective and instead recognize the unique and inherent worth of all organisms, not just humans. He argued that, through a process of re-enchantment, we can start to recognize the intrinsic value of nature, animals, and even life beyond this world, while also contributing to a paradigm shift in our relationship with the natural world. This shift would entail a respect and appreciation for the earth and its diverse living beings, while also connecting us with a deeper sense of our own humanity.
