The FTR10D471K Varistor with 385V to 775V and 2.5KA Through Hole is a RoHS-compliant electronic component with a diameter of 7.5mm, manufactured by FTR. It is a nonlinear resistor device that is used to protect circuits against overvoltage transients. It can protect against electrical spikes, and absorb the energy created by a short circuit or electrostatic discharge. The FTR10D471K is made of a ceramic material with two electrodes that are connected to opposite sides of the varistor.
