’s 2-decade vision
GPS1BHAG, which stands for “Grow, Profit, and Serve at 1 Billion”, is part of General Electric’s (GE) 2-decade vision -- an audacious goal to bridge the gap between current capabilities and the bold ambition of what can be accomplished in the next 20 years. This vision aims to increase total company revenues from $147 billion in 2017 to at least $200 billion in the year 2027. GPS1BHAG seeks to be the cornerstone of this bigger-picture vision by doubling the company’s profits to $26 billion over the same period. To accomplish this growth, GE plans to focus on senior-level customer and market segmentation, innovation, customer intimacy, and technology-enabled operations. Additionally, through “Intelligent Industry,” GE’s digital-industrial strategy, the company looks to “combine the physical work of machines and services with the digital work of software, analytics and the industrial internet of things (IIoT)” to further enhance customer intimacy, revenue growth, and profitability.
