GPS2B-SAT is an integrated, modular and scalable system developed by GE Aviation for real-time, point-to-point GPS-based aircraft navigation and surveillance. GPS2B-SAT utilizes different types of sensors, including GPS, altimeter and air-track to provide precise and accurate navigation. GPS2B-SAT can be deployed in any country, offering additional operational benefits including reduced cost, improved safety, greater coverage and reliability. The system is capable of tracking the position, speed and altitude of the aircraft in real-time and has been used to control aircraft short take-off and landings, congested airspace maneuvering, mid-air refueling, and other navigation operations.
