Descriptor The LCD-GC descriptor is a Generic Descriptor used to capture the local configurations of an image. This descriptor is used in image analysis and image recognition, and is based on the fast local contrast descriptor and the generic contour descriptor. The LCD-GC descriptor consists of two main components: the LCD (Local Contrast Descriptor) and the GC (Generic Contour Descriptor). The LCD captures the local configurations of an image by looking at the local contrast of the pixels in the image. This is done by computing the difference between pixels values for different scales in a patch of the image. The GC captures the configuration of the contours of the image by looking at the variations in the orientation, curvature, and cross-sectional shapes of the image. This is done by computing the variations in these parameters in a patch of the image. The two components are then combined to produce a descriptor that captures the local configurations of an image and enables the image search system to accurately match images based on their content. The LCD-GC descriptor has been used in applications such as food recognition and clothing retrieval.
