CAX Genteq

The C-frame armature assembly, or CAX, is a major component of Genteq’s electric motors. The CAX consists of a metal lamination stack that forms the internal core of the motor's armature. The laminations are made of a specialized steel, which is die-cut and then assembled together to form a circular, hollow cylinder with a central shaft extending through its center. This shaft is the armature’s axis of rotation and contains a heavy-duty bearing that supports the armature during operation. The Stack is then clamped into a steel cage, the CAX, that is designed to provide electromagnetic shielding while also providing high efficiency by reducing iron losses. The capping of the armature is notched and filled with a special epoxy resin to provide greater mechanical protection and better electrical insulation. CAX assemblies are a key part of every Genteq motor, providing superior performance and service life in a wide range of applications.
