KFD0-HMS-16 is part of the GOV, which stands for the Global Operational Vibration Monitoring System. This system was developed by the Japanese company, KDDI, in order to monitor and control the vibration of large structures. The KFD0-HMS-16 is a MicroElectroMechanical System (MEMS) based sensing device. It is comprised of three accelerometers, which measure accelerations in three axes, and two gyroscopes, which measure angular velocities in two axes. The system also includes an external pressure sensor, mounted on the structure being monitored to measure changes in pressure. The unit is capable of measuring vibrations up to 25 m/s² and recording up to 120 Hz of data. The KFD0-HMS-16 is designed to be used in construction and civil engineering projects, as well as industrial, aerospace and marine environments.
