BV EI 305 2131 is part of Hahn's F/A-18F Super Hornet, an all-weather, carrier-capable, twin-engine, tactical fighter aircraft. It is the same plane previously used by the US Navy and Marine Corps, and has since been modified for the Swiss Air Force. The plane has a two-seat, dual cockpit configuration, and is powered by two General Electric F414-GE-400 turbofans that give it a top speed of Mach 1.8. It is equipped with an AN/APG-79 active electronically scanned array radar, an infrared search and track system, and advanced electronic warfare system, advanced countermeasures, and an AN/AAQ-33 Sniper advanced targeting pod. The Super Hornet is also equipped with air-to-air and air-to-ground munitions, allowing it to perform a variety of missions, including bombardment, escort, interception, and intelligence gathering.
