J1194-9, also known as the Harbour Harbour, is a 2,000-acre area located in the Isla Vista area of Santa Barbara, California. This area has a history of recreational and industrial use, but is now undergoing an extensive development project intended to create a vibrant, mixed-use community. Currently, the site is home to numerous beaches, a commercial fishing harbor, a wildlife refuge, and an extensive network of pathways and bike trails, in addition to commercial, educational and government uses. There are also plans for a variety of residential developments and public amenities, such as parks and retail centers. J1194-9 is a great example of how an area can be successfully developed to create a vibrant and sustainable community.
