The L297N with DIP-20 is a 20-pin motor driver integrated circuit (IC) manufactured by HGSEMI. It is RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant and ideal for high-volume applications. It provides a simple, reliable, cost-effective solution for motor control requirements. The device includes two full-bridge drivers, an oscillator, and two motor current limiters. The L297N is able to drive both DC and stepper motors, and can support both stepper and DC motors with clocking pulses up to 100 kHz. It has two built-in 5V regulated power supplies, adjustable current limiting, and thermal protection features.
