HTP-31 TPE HT HI TECH POLYMERS OY

HTP-31 TPE is a high-performance elastomer developed by HT Hi Tech Polymers Oy, a Finnish company specializing in thermoplastic elastomers. It is a thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) formed by intimate blends of polypropylene (PP) and ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM). It is used in applications requiring wear and tear resistance and elasticity. Its excellent low-temperature properties make it suitable for use in harsh weather conditions. In comparison to conventional rubbers, HTP-31 TPE exhibits improved toughness, durability, and wear resistance. Its exceptional resistance to a wide temperature range enables it to function efficiently in diverse temperature settings. This property also allows for use in food contact applications in contrast to most elastomers. By virtue of its seamless integration with PP, HTP-31 also offers good impact properties as well as a low coefficient of friction. The thermoplastic properties of the material enable it to be readily moulded and extruded into parts in a highly cost-effective manner. It is also recyclable and offers good electrical insulation capabilities.
