Data SheeT Intel Enpirion Power Solutions EM2260P01QI 60A PowerSoC Step-Down DC-DC Switching Converter with Integrated Inductor, Featuring TM Digital Control with PMBus Compliant Interface Description Features The EM2260 is a fully integrated 60A PowerSoC Integrated digital controller, inductors and FETs synchronous dual-phase buck converter. It features Wide 4.5V to 16V V range IN an advanced digital controller, gate drivers, 0.5V to 1.3V V range OUT synchronous MOSFETs, and high-performance 60A continuous current with no thermal de- inductors. Only input and output filter capacitors rating at 80C (12Vin, 0.9Vout) and a few small signal components are required for 23mm x 18mm x 5.0mm QFN package a complete solution. A PMBus version 1.2 compliant 88% efficiency at V = 12V V = 1.2V IN , OUT interface provides setup, control, and telemetry. Meets all high-performance FPGA requirements o Digital loop for best in class transient response Differential remote sensing and 0.5% set-point o 0.5% set-point over line, load, temperature accuracy provides precise regulation over line, load o Output ripple as low as 10 mV peak-peak and temperature variation. Very low ripple further o Differential remote sensing reduces accuracy uncertainty to provide best in o Monotonic startup into pre-bias output class static regulation for todays FPGAs, ASICs, o Optimized FPGA configs stored in NVM processors, and DDR memory devices. Programmable through PMBus The EM2260 can be configured and controlled in o V margining, startup and shutdown delays OUT any application by two methods, either in pin-strap o Programmable warnings, faults and response mode using onboard resistors, or using the PMBUS Operational without PMBus interface. The customer can also configure the o RVSET resistor for setting V OUT device during engineering evaluation using the o RTUNE resistor for single resistor based PMBUS interface, which offers a high degree of compensation flexibility and programmability, and then use the pin Programmable Overcurrent Response strap mode when devices are deployed in o Latch Off (default) production.
