DataSheeT enpirion power solutions EP53A8xQA 1A PowerSoC Step-Down DC-DC Switching Converter with Integrated Inductor DESCRIPTION FEATURES The EP53A8LQA and EP53A8HQA are 1A PowerSoCs Integrated Inductor Technology that are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive -40C to +105C Ambient Temperature Range applications. The device integrates MOSFET switches, AEC-Q100 Qualified for Automotive Applications control, compensation, and the Inductor in an advanced 3mm x 3mm QFN Package. 3mm x 3mm x 1.1mm QFN Package 2 Total Solution Footprint ~ 27mm Integrated inductor ensures the complete power solution is fully characterized with the inductor Low V Ripple for IO Compatibility OUT carefully matched to the silicon and compensation High Efficiency, up to 94% network. It enables a tiny solution footprint, low V Range 0.6V to V 0.5V OUT IN output ripple, low part-count, and high reliability, 1A Continuous Output Current while maintaining high efficiency. The complete 2 solution can be implemented in as little as 27mm 5 MHz Switching Frequency and operate from -40C to 105C ambient 3-pin VID for Glitch Free Voltage Scaling temperature range. Short Circuit and Over Current Protection The EP53A8xQA uses a 3-pin VID to easily select the UVLO and Thermal Protection output voltage setting. Output voltage settings are IC Level Reliability in a PowerSoC Solution available in two optimized ranges providing coverage for typical V settings. OUT APPLICATIONS The VID pins can be changed on the fly for fast Automotive Applications AEC-Q100 dynamic voltage scaling. EP53A8LQA further has the Requirement option to use an external voltage divider.
