Fluid Technology The DBK-25P F179 part of ITT Fluid Technology is an industrial duty cast iron differential pressure valve. It is designed to be an economical alternative to conventional pressure reducing valves. It is designed for applications requiring a dynamic differential pressure control of up to 225 psi (15,5 bar) for potable water, industrial water and air-handling systems. The device features a spring-loaded cartridge that operates by sensing the difference between the inlet and downstream pressures. When the differential pressure across the valve increases, the spring-loaded cartridge actuates to close the valve, thus reducing the average pressure in the downstream system. The DBK-25P F179 is available with a maximum operating temperature of up to 250°F (122°C), and has a universal body design that can accommodate either a slip-on or threaded connection. It can be used with a variety of connection sizes, ranging from 1/2” to 2”.
